TABLE HEIGHT, SIZE AND SHAPE

First up, we’ll start with something simple. Lets sort out the basic scope of your custom dining table from which it will evolve.

Have a think about the following:

(1) How do you want to use your table?
Is it a feature dining table for your living room, an extension of your kitchen bench or a bar to solve the worlds problems over a g&t. Each requires a different height and is an important factor to consider.

(2) How many people are you wanting to cater for?
Think not only about your weeknight meals, but if you are wanting something which lets you cater for Christmas lunch.

(3) What shape are you wanting your table to be?
The shape of your table will generally be influenced by the room in which it will call home. Rectangular tables are the fail safe, with square tables being more suited to larger rooms and round tables having the ability to fit more snugly into a smaller area.

TOP STYLE

Next up, we need to look at the arrangement of the timber boards which are going to make up the table top.
We also need to establish whether the table is going to be inside your home or outside under the stars.

// TOP STYLE

Please note, at this point round tables can only work with 'WAMBROOK' top.

(I) Indoor option available
(O) Outdoor option available

//

INDOOR
All indoor tables are joined together to form a uniform top unless otherwise specified.
Different timber colouring is available for borders/end caps - decided in design process (additional charges may apply).

OUTDOOR
If you’re table is for outdoors (even undercover areas) it will need to be built slightly differently and have 3-10mm gaps between the timber boards for expansion and shrinkage to allow it to cope with mother natures elements.
Timber spacing will be decided on in the design process.
Outdoor top options are listed below with an (O) beside them.

FINISH STYLE

Last but not least, let’s finish off your custom dining table.

As standard, clear coat is applied as a finish on every timber furniture product for protection. The level of clear coat will be recommended to you based on whether your product is for commercial or residential use.

For all steel base designs, items are powder coated in matte black unless otherwise specified.

*Custom finishes available on request.

// CLEAR FINISHES

The recommended finish is protective clear coat, mainly due to it's durability over time. It has a natural satin finish and the timber remains a natural colouring.

Clear Coat
