Jacks Newtown reveal..
If you're living in Sydney, then there is a good chance you've heard of new burger joint 'Jacks Burgers' which opened late last year. Modelling their offering on that of 'Shake Shack' in the US, Jacks offers American style burgers and fries.
Owner Jack approached us a few months prior to his store opening, as he was after some simple yet stylish furniture which would hold up in a fast food environment. Looking for an affordable but durable option, Timbermill custom designed some powder coated steel framed bench seating which was then clad with Pine Clears. This ran along the interior wall as a low bench, and then on the other side of the space as a table height shelf.
For tables, Jack used a range of our 'Benefield' recycled timber tables with custom charcoal powdercoated steel bases. The pop of recycled timber in the space added some different colouring and softened the rest of the space. To finish it off he used 'Captain' stools custom made in solid pine clears for the seating. The two timber options he chose (Pine Clears and recycled panels) contrasted and complimented each other well in the space.
With the furniture set, Jack added elements of a full wall graphic panel highlighting Newtown's finest offerings as well as some huge neons (made by our good Marrickville pals Sign Kiosk).
The whole space turned out great, and judging by the CRAZY lines out the door every time we pass.. it seems like the food is pretty good as well! Read more about it here: https://www.broadsheet.com.au/sydney/food-and-drink/article/sydneys-answer-shake-shack#gallery-1)
